It s On FINALLY!!!!!!

Well with the forecast looking good for saturday we're going to run the Brits!!!!

Thanks to all that have pre entered with 30 of you coming forward to enter..

Number of entrants now dictates that we shall be having an early start on saturday to ensure we can get through all the heats as smoothly as possible....

All competitors are reminded they require airbags and grabs fitted to their boats for bcu competitions.

As it could be cold I recommend warm kit for both competing and when spectating. Warm drinks will be available on site as will soup for competitors.

Camping is available at druridge bay country park for both vans and tents with a toilet facility available through the night if required. please let me know in advance if you are intending to stay.

See previous posts for info regarding location and postcode for satnav users.

It is my intention to supply judging for the first 2 heats with the competitors judging after that. heat 1 will judge heat 3 then heat2 will judge heat 4 etc. Safety cover will be done by the following heat ie heat 2 will provide cover for heat 1.... Its essential that with the number of heat running you are ready on time and in the right kit. The heats will start on time wether your there or not..I will be available friday night at Hauxley village hall to do registration, boat checks and give out goody bags ...... sat morning briefing time and first heat will be confirmed as soon as I ve done the heats.

Directions to Hauxley are as follows.

From the south follow signs for coastal route go past Druridge bay country park. after about 1 1/2 mile you will see a sign for Hauxley nature reserve turn right at this point and drive all the way along this road. after 1 mile you will see a collection of houses on the dunes infront of you. Turn right and park up on the village road. Follow the event sign to the hall.

From the north. Drive through Amble heading south after the roundabout hauxley is signed on the left. follow road to houses on dunes. turn right park up and follow signs to village hall.

Thanks to all involved so far and lets hope we get a good comp... Current forecast is 4ft at 11 secs with offshore so should be nice.......

Any more info i have will be posted here so keep an eye on it
